You can swim in Kalamalka lake after getting permission from the lake authorities. After having fun near the lake you can also visit the Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park. This park introduces you to the desert ecosystem.

The lake has a long stretch of 135 km and the depth of the lake is 232 metres. Okanagan Lake is the favourite spot of visitors because it has a lot of beaches and you can enjoy many fun activities here.

Kal Beach is the famous Vernon beach containing soft white sand. The vegetation in this area is very nice.

The beach has tall and long trees. These trees provide shade for visitors.

Ellison Provincial Park is located near many beaches. The beauty of this provincial park is incredible. You can see excellent hiking trails, high cliffs on the shores of Okanagan lake, geological rock formations, and sheltered coves of jade-coloured water.

3.3. Sovereign Park

The Sovereign Park is known as the Coldstream area of Vernon city. The visitors can enjoy many activities.

This place is favourable for sunbathing, kayaking, picnics, SUP paddleboarding, swimming, white sand coves, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, and outdoor showers.

There are playgrounds for kids. Many kids play sand castle with sand.

3.4. Kirkland Beach Park

Kirkland Beach Park is a famous park located near Vernon beach in Vernon city. People enjoy birdwatching in this park.

Kids love playing with the ducks here. It is a family picnic area.

3.5. Kekuli Bay Provincial Park

The water of Kekuli Bay Provincial Park is crystal clear blue water. This park is the connecting link between the Okanagan rail trail and some beaches and coves.

This park is the perfect spot for kayaks, paddleboarders, canoes, and boat launches.
