1. History of Bata
The Bata Corporation is an MNC that is one of the leading footwear producers. The company is of Czech origin. The headquarters is located in Switzerland.
The Bata Shoe Company was established in a small town in the present-day Czech Republic on 21 Sep 1894.
The company was one of the earliest companies to institute permanent employees and weekly wakes and was established by Tomas Bata and his sibling Anna.
Both of them belonged to the traditional cobbler family.
Bata company is 125 years old and one of the world’s largest shoemakers. The shoes and footwear made by the company are popular worldwide for their elegance and class.
Bata continued to survive and strive despite two World Wars, the Great Depression, and numerous recessions.
The competitive shoe companies could not hold on during the rough economic conditions. The reason for the survival was the rising demand for the cheaper shoes produced by Bata.
2. Skip the Line and Tour the Bata Shoe Museum
2.1. Event
Come and visit the Bata Shoe Museum. Feverup organizes the event from 05 August 2023 onwards.
There are four impressive galleries with ancient footwear artifacts from China and Egypt. The museum showcases more than 4000 years of history.
In addition, it also showcases numerous celebrity footwear.
2.2. Guides
The museum tour is guided, and you will receive a guide. The guides are available in French as well as English.
The prices of the guide are included in the tickets.
2.3. Venue
The venue for the event is the Bata Shoe Museum, Toronto, located at 327 Bloor Street.
2.4. Tickets
The tickets are available online from the Feverup application or their webpage and are of two types – adults and seniors.
The tickets for seniors are priced at $13.50 and adults at $16.00.
Tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be canceled. So plan for booking your tickets wisely.
2.5. Age Restrictions
The event is adult-only.
Only 18 + people are allowed for the event. You must carry your ID for the event and produce it at the entrance.
2.6. COVID Restrictions
You are required to carry your ID for vaccination as per the latest regulations of Ontario.
