Just 11 km away from Kelowna, there is Bear Creek Provincial Park which is campers’ first choice as it is widely spread over 390 acres of area. Situated by Okanagan Lake, you can enjoy splendid views and beautiful scenery. You should reserve your campsite online as this park is the most demandable park for campsites and is available on a first come first served basis.

There are 14 campsites and 400 meters of Beach for swimming with all the basic facilities such as drinking water, a parking area for RV (Recreational Vehicle), hot showers, and tents. Apart from camping in Bear Creek Park, you can rent out a paddleboat and go boating in Okanagan Lake. Also, you can jet ski in the same lake.

This Provincial park was established in 1955 and is located 11 km North of Summerland on Hwy 97. Okanagan lake park is surrounded by Ponderosa Pine which makes it the perfect spot for water activities like swimming, boat launch, and canoeing.

Here, you can get all the basic amenities like drinking water, 1 spot for a shower, campfires, picnic areas, and pit toilets. Learn how to swim before visiting Okanagan Lake Park as there are no lifeguards that can help you. Also, above the landslide zone, there is a 1km trail that links the two campgrounds which makes your hiking experience more challenging. This campground can host both small and large RVs, offering 30 and 50-amp full-service, pull-through, and gravel sites. Nearby orchards such as Ross Orchards, Kempf Orchards, and the Pomona Orchard are the main reason of tourist attractions.

You cannot set up tents for camping at this Kelowna campground. Additionally, they accept campers on a first-come basis, so book your site before you arrive. As Okanagan is also known as Wine Country, you can have a wine tour and taste them from wineries such as Mission Hill Family Estate and Quail’s Gate Estate Winery.

You can take your pets too in this park but be aware they should be on a leash otherwise you will be penalized. There are 2 highly rated golf courses for golf enthusiasts located at Gallagher’s Canyon. Moreover, Canyon Farm Park is just 15 Km away from downtown Kelowna. Also, either you can book your day by paying just $55 or you can book your whole week by paying $350 during low season.

Orchard Hill RV Park is an agri-tourism park situated on 13-acre farmland. This RV park is running for 20 years and is famous among travelers because of its peaceful campgrounds. Orchard Hill RV Park is known for its cleanliness and excellent maintenance. The majority of sites offer pull-through options, with a few back-in choices available. All sites are level and provide convenient access to utilities.

Additionally, each site comes with cable and free Wi-Fi services included. This park is pet friendly and has basic amenities like laundry facilities, wi-fi but no hot showers and washrooms. Furthermore, access to Orchard Hill RV Park is not allowed for aged 13 years or younger. They offer 9 spacious, tiered RV sites but no tenting sites.

Ensure that you are booking a ticket for Orchard Hill RV, not for Orchard Valley, as both parks are located directly opposite each other, and almost every time Campers get confused.

To make your camping experience immensely great you should give it a try at West Eagle Campgrounds. Another wonderful park for golf enthusiasts is located 10 minutes away from downtown Kelowna. This park is a safe and drug-free environment, conveniently located near beaches, restaurants, shopping, golf courses, and wineries.

They welcome pets and provide a stunning view of the lake. Please be aware that tent sites are no longer available. Throughout your stay, please be informed that the store, shower, and laundry facilities will remain closed indefinitely. Also, West Eagle Campground in Kelowna is renting RV lots with full-service hook-ups (30 AMP maximum) starting from April 15, 2023, and throughout the entire season. Now, you have the opportunity to rent out your RV and generate passive income.
